Account Deletion & Data Continuity

How InsureAhead handles deleted accounts, recreated accounts, retained insurance records, historical agent information, submitted applications, and imported existing clients. Effective September 4, 2026.

Deleting an InsureAhead account

Deleting an InsureAhead account permanently removes that login and its active account connections. It does not necessarily erase every insurance, case, quote, application, carrier-submission, transaction, security, or compliance record associated with work that occurred before deletion. Records may be retained where reasonably necessary or permitted for insurance servicing, legal or regulatory obligations, carrier or provider processing, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or recordkeeping.

Account deletion does not itself cancel, terminate, replace, transfer, or change an insurance policy. It also does not automatically withdraw, cancel, or reverse an application or other transaction already transmitted to a carrier or authorized provider. Any such request must be handled through the applicable carrier, producer, firm, or transaction process.

Using the same email again

After an account has been deleted, the same email address may be used to create a brand-new InsureAhead account. The new account must complete the normal signup, email-confirmation, authentication, and onboarding process again. A matching email address does not automatically restore a prior account, case, questionnaire, invitation, Agent relationship, Client Portal link, quote history, application record, or other prior permission.

Agent pricing after deletion

Grandfathered, promotional, beta, or Forever Free Agent pricing belongs to the account that received it. Deleting that Agent account permanently ends that pricing eligibility. If the person later creates a new Agent account, the plans and pricing available at the time of the new signup apply. Client accounts are not charged for Client Portal access under the current service model.

When an Agent deletes their account

A Client account is not deleted because an Agent leaves InsureAhead. The Client's login and authorized case or policy information remain available subject to applicable retention and access rules. InsureAhead does not automatically reassign an existing policy or pending carrier transaction to another Agent when an Agent account is deleted.

Deleting an Agent account does not automatically change the writing Agent, agent of record, servicing rights, carrier contract, commissions, pending application, or carrier relationship on existing business. Those matters are controlled by applicable carrier, agency, firm, producer, regulatory, and contractual rules.

Historical Agent information

Where Agent identity or contact information belongs with a completed case, submitted application, or policy record, InsureAhead may retain a historical client-facing snapshot so the Client can identify the professional or agency associated with that business even if the Agent later closes their InsureAhead account. A historical record is not a live Agent profile and does not imply the Agent remains active on InsureAhead.

National Producer Number information may be used internally for integration, licensing, or appointment workflows, but it is not included in the Client-facing historical Agent snapshot.

When a Client deletes their account

Deleting a Client account removes that Client's login and portal connections. It does not automatically require an Agent, firm, carrier, authorized technology provider, or other authorized party to erase records they are permitted or required to retain. It also does not withdraw an application or cancel a policy already submitted or issued outside the Client Portal. A future Client account using the same email is a new account and must be securely connected to any appropriate case through the normal authorization process.

Imported existing clients

Agents may import clients they already work with when they are authorized to collect, use, and maintain that information. Importing an existing client creates an Agent-side InsureAhead client record; it does not automatically create a Client account, send a Client Portal invitation, change a carrier record, transfer a policy, or change compensation.

Agents are responsible for reviewing imported information for accuracy and for complying with applicable privacy, firm, carrier, recordkeeping, and professional requirements.

Emails about account changes

InsureAhead may send transactional emails when meaningful account or relationship changes occur, such as account deletion, Client Portal connection changes, matching events, quote or application events, or completed imports. Sensitive financial, medical, beneficiary, underwriting, or application details are not intended to be included in those notification emails.
