1. InsureAhead is a software platform
InsureAhead provides insurance decision-support, workflow, Find an Agent matching, carrier-quote connectivity, and application-submission support. Unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific transaction, InsureAhead itself does not act as an insurance carrier, insurer, broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, underwriting authority, or government licensing authority.
InsureAhead may technically facilitate real insurance activity by transmitting quote requests or application information to authorized carriers, distributors, or technology providers on behalf of appropriately licensed and authorized users. That technical role does not itself make InsureAhead the writing producer, carrier, underwriter, or licensing authority.
2. Licensed professionals using the platform
Insurance professionals may use InsureAhead to organize client information, review planning needs, compare product scenarios, prepare recommendations, receive Client-selected leads, obtain real carrier-derived quotes through supported integrations, and prepare or submit actual insurance applications through connected carrier or authorized application services.
Any insurance recommendation, solicitation, sale, or application activity must be performed by an appropriately licensed and authorized individual or entity in the applicable jurisdiction and, when required, under the applicable carrier, agency, broker-dealer, or firm authority.
3. License information used in matching
Find an Agent may use Agent-provided licensed states, insurance-license categories, NPN, profile information, and availability as internal eligibility signals before an Agent is displayed to a Client.
An Agent's NPN is not part of the public Find an Agent profile or match-result display. Unless a field is specifically marked as independently verified, licensing and eligibility signals are screening information and should not be interpreted as official confirmation by a regulator, NIPR, carrier, firm, or other authoritative source. A match does not itself establish that an Agent is authorized for every product, carrier, transaction, or activity the Client may later consider.
See the Find an Agent & Matching Disclosure.
4. License, appointment, and transaction verification
Agent profile information, NPN lookups, state selections, carrier information, and eligibility indicators within InsureAhead are convenience and screening tools. They are not a substitute for official verification.
Agents remain responsible for confirming active licenses, lines of authority, state authority, carrier appointments, training, continuing-education requirements, securities registrations where applicable, firm approval, and product-specific authorization before conducting regulated activity, requesting transaction-specific carrier access, presenting a recommendation, or submitting an application.
5. Securities and variable products
Variable life insurance, variable annuities, and other securities-related products may require securities registration, broker-dealer affiliation, supervision, product approval, and additional licensing beyond an insurance license. InsureAhead does not independently confer or verify those permissions.
6. Carrier quotes and applications do not prove authority
The ability to access a quote screen, receive carrier-derived quote data, prepare an application, or access a connected application workflow does not by itself prove that a particular producer is authorized to transact that product with that carrier in that jurisdiction. Professional authority must still be confirmed through the applicable official, carrier, firm, or regulatory source.
7. Individual producer information
Clients may see the professional's name, public agency or firm display, experience, specialties, working style, contact options, languages, and other information intentionally included in the Agent's public Find an Agent profile. Sensitive producer identifiers such as the Agent's NPN are not intended to be displayed in public match results. When official confirmation is required, professional authority should be verified through the producer, their firm, carrier, NIPR, or the appropriate regulator.
8. Questions
Questions about InsureAhead's role can be submitted through the Contact page. Questions about an individual producer's authority should be directed to that producer, their firm, carrier, or the applicable regulator.
