What is InsureAhead?
InsureAhead is insurance decision-support software for clients and insurance professionals. It helps organize a case, identify missing information, summarize protection needs, explain coverage options in plain English, and support the path from intake through recommendation, quoting, and application preparation.
Does InsureAhead sell or issue insurance?
No. InsureAhead is not an insurance carrier and does not issue, bind, approve, or activate coverage. A carrier controls underwriting, the final offer, policy terms, and whether coverage becomes effective. See Carrier & Quote Disclaimers.
Why does the questionnaire ask about income, debts, health, medications, and lifestyle?
Different information serves different parts of an insurance review. Financial and household information can help estimate protection needs. Health, medication, tobacco, occupation, travel, and lifestyle information can affect which products may be available and how a carrier evaluates an application. InsureAhead asks for planning-level information first and keeps highly sensitive application data out of ordinary free-text fields.
Is my Needs Summary a recommendation or a carrier quote?
No. A Needs Summary is an educational planning view based on the information entered into the case. It can help show income-replacement needs, debts, existing resources, goals, and possible protection gaps, but it is not a carrier quote, underwriting decision, or guarantee that a particular product is appropriate or available.
What is the difference between a planning amount, a quote, and a final carrier offer?
A planning amount is used to explore affordability or scenarios. A quote is an estimate based on the information and assumptions supplied to the quoting source. A final carrier offer may change after underwriting reviews the complete application and any authorized records or reports. Coverage is not active merely because a quote or offer appears in InsureAhead.
How does Find an Agent work?
Eligible clients can complete the InsureAhead questionnaire and review participating insurance professionals whose profile information and availability match the case. A displayed match is not an endorsement or a guarantee that a particular agent is the best choice. You choose whether to select an agent. Learn more in the Find an Agent & Matching Disclosure.
Does InsureAhead verify an agent's license or carrier authority?
InsureAhead can use professional information, producer identity, carrier-connected appointment data, and workflow checks to flag requirements, but users still must verify decision-changing license, registration, appointment, firm, training, and product authority through the applicable official or carrier source before a transaction.
Why might an agent need more information after I finish the questionnaire?
The questionnaire is designed to collect the information useful for planning and early case review. A specific carrier or product may require additional details during application or underwriting. Follow-up questions do not necessarily mean something is wrong; they can be needed to complete, clarify, or verify an application.
Should I enter my Social Security number, bank information, or full medical records into the questionnaire?
No. Do not place full Social Security or taxpayer identification numbers, bank or routing numbers, payment-card numbers, passwords, full policy numbers, or medical records into ordinary questionnaire or message fields. Those details should only be provided through a secure application or carrier process specifically designed to collect them when required.
Can I change information after I enter it?
Yes, where the workflow allows editing. Keep case information current and review important details before relying on calculations, recommendations, quotes, or application preparation. If something has changed after an application was submitted, contact the applicable insurance professional or carrier rather than assuming an edit in InsureAhead changes the carrier's records.
What if I already have an insurance agent?
Your insurance professional can create a secure Client Portal invitation for a case they manage in InsureAhead. Connecting a portal account does not transfer an existing policy, change an agent of record, or change carrier servicing rights.
Where is InsureAhead available?
Features may be limited by state, product, participating professional, or integration availability. Check State Availability & Territorial Limits for the current public availability information shown by InsureAhead.
How is my information protected?
InsureAhead uses authenticated accounts, access controls, encrypted web connections, private storage for case documents, and role-aware case access. No online system can promise zero risk, so the app also limits where high-risk information should be entered. Details are in the Privacy Policy and Account Deletion & Data Continuity page.
What if I still need help?
Use the Contact page for general questions or to report a problem. Please do not send highly sensitive insurance, financial, credential, or medical information by ordinary email.
