Legal Disclosures

Important boundaries on what InsureAhead does — and does not — provide. Effective draft date: August 27, 2026.

Pre-launch draft. This page is a practical starting point and should be reviewed by qualified legal/privacy counsel before a public production launch.

1. Decision-support software, not professional advice

InsureAhead is software designed to organize client information, explain insurance concepts in plain language, perform transparent calculations, identify questions or missing information, compare product categories, document quote information, and support insurance-related workflows. InsureAhead is not an insurance carrier, law firm, accounting firm, tax-preparation service, broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, or other professional advisory firm.

Information shown in InsureAhead is intended to support a licensed professional's review and a client's understanding. It should not be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who has reviewed the client's complete facts and applicable law.

2. Tax information is educational — not tax advice

InsureAhead may explain possible federal, state, or other tax consequences associated with insurance policies, annuities, withdrawals, loans, surrenders, exchanges, distributions, beneficiary payments, policy lapse, annuitization, retirement accounts, or other transactions. These explanations are educational summaries of rules that may apply; they are not individualized tax advice, tax-return preparation, or a recommendation to enter into or avoid a transaction for tax purposes.

Actual tax treatment can depend on facts InsureAhead may not know, including policy basis, modified endowment contract status, ownership, beneficiary structure, qualified or nonqualified status, age, timing, prior transactions, outstanding loans, state law, changes in tax law, and the client's broader financial circumstances. Before taking a tax-sensitive action, users should confirm the result with a qualified tax professional such as a CPA, enrolled agent, tax attorney, or other appropriately credentialed adviser.

InsureAhead should use cautious language such as “generally,” “may,” or “could apply” when a tax result depends on facts, exceptions, or changing law. A tax explanation in the platform is not a guarantee of a particular tax outcome.

3. No legal advice

InsureAhead may identify legal or estate-planning topics that deserve attention, such as beneficiary designations, ownership, trusts, minors, business succession, estate planning, powers of attorney, or contract rights. This information is educational only and is not legal advice, document drafting, or an attorney-client relationship.

Questions involving legal rights, estate documents, ownership structures, trusts, probate, divorce, creditor protection, business agreements, or other legal matters should be reviewed by an attorney licensed in the applicable jurisdiction.

4. No investment or securities advice

InsureAhead may explain variable insurance products, market risk, investment-related contract features, or securities-registration requirements. InsureAhead does not provide investment advice, portfolio management, securities recommendations, or brokerage services and does not determine whether a securities transaction is suitable, in a client's best interest, or otherwise compliant with applicable securities rules.

Variable products and other securities-related transactions may require insurance licensing, securities registration, broker-dealer or firm authorization, supervision, product approval, and other requirements that must be independently verified before use.

5. Insurance recommendations require licensed-agent judgment

Product-fit labels, needs analyses, premium comparisons, rider suggestions, and “what am I missing?” prompts are decision-support tools. They do not replace the licensed agent's duty to understand the client, verify information, follow applicable suitability or best-interest standards, comply with replacement and disclosure rules, and document the reason for a recommendation.

A product shown as potentially appropriate or “offerable” is not a legal determination that an agent is authorized to sell it. Licensing, state authority, training, carrier appointment, securities registration, firm authorization, product-specific certification, and active-status requirements must be verified separately.

6. Quotes, illustrations, underwriting, and coverage

InsureAhead may display premiums or benefits received from carriers or approved third-party quoting and illustration systems. Carrier-derived information can change because of underwriting, age, health or rating inputs, state, product availability, rider elections, fees, application timing, or carrier rules. The insurance carrier controls the final offer, policy terms, underwriting decision, premium, issue class, and whether coverage is placed in force.

A quote, illustration, recommendation, submitted application, or collected initial premium does not itself guarantee coverage. Any temporary or conditional coverage exists only if and to the extent provided by the carrier's actual receipt, temporary-insurance agreement, policy, or other governing document.

7. Rider and policy-feature availability

InsureAhead may suggest riders, clauses, or policy features based on information entered for a client. A suggestion does not mean a specific carrier offers that feature, that the client qualifies for it, or that it can be added later. Availability, pricing, underwriting, issue ages, election windows, conversion deadlines, anniversary rules, and later-addition rights must be confirmed in the actual carrier contract and current product materials.

8. Calculations and data quality

Needs analyses, affordability comparisons, benefit calculations, and other mathematical outputs are only as accurate as the information entered and the rules or rate data supplied to the system. Users are responsible for reviewing material inputs and outputs before relying on them in a client discussion or transaction.

InsureAhead may intentionally refuse to calculate or present a definitive answer when required information, authoritative rules, carrier data, or licensing information cannot be verified.

9. Automated and AI-assisted content

Some InsureAhead features may use rules, automation, or artificial intelligence to summarize information, explain concepts, identify possible follow-up questions, or assist with workflow. Automated output can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect and should not be treated as an independent professional opinion. Decision-changing legal, tax, regulatory, carrier, licensing, and product information should be verified against authoritative sources before use.

10. Third-party platforms and data

InsureAhead may connect with insurance carriers, quote providers, illustration platforms, e-application systems, authentication providers, databases, and other third parties. Third-party information and services remain subject to their own terms, privacy practices, product rules, availability, and technical limitations. InsureAhead cannot guarantee that a third-party service will remain available or error-free.

11. Privacy and sensitive information

Users should provide only information they are authorized to collect and should follow InsureAhead's data-minimization rules. Highly sensitive information should not be placed into free-text fields or other locations that are not specifically designed and secured for that information.

More information about data collection, use, security, retention, and cookies is available in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

12. Relationship to the Terms & Conditions

This Legal Disclosures page is intended to make InsureAhead's most important professional and regulatory boundaries easy to find. It supplements, and does not replace, the Terms & Conditions. If there is a conflict between this page and the final production Terms, the final production Terms should control to the extent permitted by law.

This pre-launch legal content should be reviewed by qualified legal and privacy counsel before InsureAhead is made publicly available or used to conduct production insurance business.
