Find an Agent

Find an Agent & Matching Disclosure

How InsureAhead connects Clients with participating insurance professionals. Effective August 31, 2026.

1. What Find an Agent does

Find an Agent helps a Client who requests assistance discover participating insurance professionals who may be eligible and compatible with the Client's stated needs and preferences. The feature may operate as a lead-generation service for participating Agents.

2. Professional eligibility comes first

InsureAhead may screen for state, insurance-license categories, profile completeness, availability, recent activity, and other requirements before an Agent can appear in results. Unless a field is specifically labeled as independently verified, Agent licensing, appointment, training, and profile information may be self-reported and must not be treated as official regulator or carrier verification.

Clients and Agents should independently verify professional authority when it matters to a transaction.

3. Compatibility and ranking

Among eligible participating Agents, InsureAhead may consider factors such as the Client's preferred contact method, requested level of guidance, policy interests, and the Agent's working style, specialties, and public profile information.

Ranking may also include fairness and rotation controls. Recent exposure, recent Client selections, and pending matches may temporarily reduce an Agent's default placement so that other appropriate Agents receive opportunities when the available pool allows it. A Client may still be able to view additional eligible Agents beyond the default top results.

4. Matching is not an endorsement

A match score, ranking, compatibility reason, profile placement, or “You matched” message is not an endorsement, guarantee, official license verification, or representation that one Agent is objectively better than another. It is a software-generated way to organize potentially compatible participating professionals.

5. What Agents see before selection

Agents displayed in a Client's match results do not automatically receive the Client's full questionnaire or sensitive case details. The Client reviews public-facing Agent profiles first and chooses who they want to work with.

After the Client selects an Agent, the selected Agent may receive access to the case and limited lead information needed to acknowledge and work the match. Other displayed Agents are not intended to receive the Client's full case simply because they appeared in the result set.

6. Availability, expiration, and response protection

Agents control whether they are accepting new Clients and may pause participation. InsureAhead may temporarily remove an Agent from new results after extended inactivity. Precise last-active timestamps are not intended to be displayed publicly to Clients.

Match option sets expire after 14 days so Clients do not rely on stale availability. When a Client selects an Agent, the standard acknowledgement window is 14 days. If the Client continues actively returning while waiting, the pending response window may remain active so the case does not expire solely because the Client is still engaged.

If a selected Agent becomes unavailable, declines, or fails to acknowledge the match within the applicable window, InsureAhead may remove the assignment and offer refreshed Agent options. Client-facing messaging may describe the Agent as unavailable or the options as refreshed without disclosing unnecessary internal details.

7. Agent responsibilities

Agents who participate in Find an Agent should keep their profile, professional information, contact methods, and availability accurate. Agents are responsible for determining whether they can legally and professionally serve a Client before discussing, recommending, soliciting, or submitting a transaction.

An Agent may decline a lead when they cannot appropriately serve the Client. Declining a lead is intended to return the Client to matching rather than leave the Client waiting.

8. Lead fees, sponsorships, and paid influence

InsureAhead does not currently represent that paying for a lead, sponsorship, or promotional relationship affects matching rank. If InsureAhead later charges for leads, accepts referral compensation, sponsored placement, paid prioritization, or other commercial consideration that could affect presentation or ranking, the relevant relationship will be disclosed where required and the Advertising & Compensation Disclosure will be updated.

9. Privacy

Information used in matching and disclosure of Client information to a selected Agent are also governed by the Privacy Policy. Questions can be submitted through the Contact page.
